Gamercraft - Community Feature
How to encourage your favorite players while earning money?
The challenge: Gamercraft was looking to diversify its revenue streams while engaging its community more deeply. Players were playing alone on their side, and even individual streamers lacked interaction with their viewers.
My solution: I co-created with the Discord community the "Backings" - a feature allowing viewers to support their favorite players and earn money, transforming passive viewing into an interactive experience.
The observed impact: This feature created a new significant revenue stream for the platform and transformed community engagement. Backings are now a pillar of the Gamercraft experience, innovatively connecting viewers and players in a more engaging ecosystem.

Exploring community expectations
To ensure the product meets user expectations, I worked closely with the active Discord community. Through regular exchanges, we explored:
Community challenges: what motivates players? What barriers could discourage them?
Opportunities to create an immersive and engaging experience.
Concrete ideas, often coming from the players themselves.
These discussions formed the basis of key features while strengthening the trust relationship with the community.
Essential features
Following the feedback collected, I prioritized the following features:
Live streaming of games: integrate player screens with a camera to create a stronger link between viewers and players, while increasing overall engagement.
Score consultation: ensure transparency and strengthen system credibility.
Event history: provide summaries of players' past performances to help users make informed decisions.
Experience consistency: maintain existing application patterns to avoid disrupting users and offer continuity in the experience.
These features were selected to combine innovation, immersion, and clarity.
